ScienceBox is series of 48 animations with pictures, photos, print activities and teacher notes to support the teaching of the 12 QCA Science units and National Curriculum Science at Key stage 1. |

What's in Science Box? | Animations: 2 animations for each QCA unit. Each animation comes as both Teacher and Pupil versions (giving a total of 48 individual animations). |
Teacher version has:
- Option to share learning objectives with pupils and to review objectives at the end of the animation
- Easy navigation to key points within the animation
- Access to a discussion screen with additional resources

Pupil version has:
- Learning objectives that are read out at the beginning of the animation and reviewed at the end
- Key points where the animation stops and the pupils are encouraged to think and predict what will happen next before moving on
- Easy navigation to key points within the animation

Pictures and photos
Pictures from the animations and photos from the DK library can be used in word processing and presentation packages as well as for resources on a whiteboard.
Pictures can be copied into word processing
and multimedia authoring packages
Print activities
Print activities, for use away from the computer, support the learning of specific objectives and investigative skills within each unit.
Teacher notes
These describe resources and suggest ways in which they may be used in successful science lessons. |
